Concern for Transmission Linkage

The concern is hard to explain, but I think the picture shows it well. I disconnected the shifting linkage arms to the transmission, and two of the three were looking good, but the third "male" end seemed to not be out enough. The other two stuck out like the arm really can grab it, but the third one is level with the actually surface of the transmission. I don't see how it can be grabbed. Please look at the picture and tell me what you think.

put the bolt in the hole and pull the
actuator back out it will only move as far as the others ;) :w steve
 
It will pull "out" like the other two when you bolt the lever back on - they have some lateral movement.
