Console Wiring help needed

I had just finished rebuilding the 6 way power seat switch which I was testing when I noticed a broken wire at the back hinge corner of the storage compartment (glove box between the seats) it runs from the console into the lid. I have no idea what it would be for?

Any ideas would help

There is a lamp in the lid.

My painter, Bruce Bansen, better known as "Bruce the Brush" hand-painted that, along with the stripes, on my Vette. He's good!

I modeled my logo after the Z06 logo, with a little liberty taken. Thanks for the compliment. :cool
