Well went to my dealer today to order a new convertible. Not taking any orders with the power top. No red available. etc. Left dejected. Chevrolet must not want to sell these cars.

I'm currently working on a project at the Corvette Assembly Facility. I personally know GM does want to sell the automatic top Corvette but they want to make sure it works correctly before they start shipping them.

BTW - Welcome to the :CAC

I know how you feel, but consider a couple of things: The top has only one latch at the windshield header (C5's had 2) so the manual top is even easier than before. You save 14 pounds of motor etc..., not a big deal but you also have NO reliability issues either. As far as red goes, I think all reds are available now (I checked the constraints with my dealer). Convertible production is SLOW so some patience is going to be needed. I ordered my convertible in September and it is supposed to be produced next week. Good luck
