convertible conversion

recently bought my 82 conversion,was told that Jim MiKay chevrolet in FairFax Virginia had it done, although I'm not sure that's true. Is anything done to the frames to keep it from bending in half? What do you guy's who have these conversions do about losing the shoulder belts? The car does drive very nice.

There's no issue with the frame - when convertibles were offered, they used the same frame as the coupe.

For shoulder belts, you could look at the factory 68-75 convertible set up. Shoulder belts were optional on convertibles.
