Does anyone have experiece with modifying an '85 C4 coupe using the Converticoupe product?

All I can tell you is a friend of mine has installed the ConvertiCoupe on his blk/blk/blk '95. It looks awesome. I've been thinking about getting one for my '93. He did tell me that installation takes longer than the advertisement states (and he should know, he's a Vette enthusiast and tech). Give yourself about 31/2 to 4 hrs to get it right. The rear window that comes with the kit is real glass!

Should look real sharp!

Corvette America lists the subject item

How does it work and anybody got pictures?

This should give you an idea of what it looks like and how it functions.

I see those on ebay and never can tell what they look like installed.
Thanks Ken!

So after removing the rear hatch glass, this just goes back in the same slot. hmmmm

Thats actually not the Converticoupe Ken. :) Thats the Carrera Speedster hatch, here is the converticoupe conversion.

Notice that your making life altering decisions by cutting the factory top loose with a Reciprocating saw, thats a little more than my stomach can handle hehe.

I had one on my 86, with the top off you dont get all the air turbulance.
Want to buy mine I just took it off (bought a convertible).

Must be my mistake, I thought he was talking about the coupe to convertible kit. I have seen the one you have pictured, it's been around since the 83 Z28, but it's always been called a Speedster hatch, JCWhitney sold those at one time even. I'm not sure how thats a converti/ble, but I guess they can name it whatever they like. :)

The coupe to convertible kit above does allow you to enjoy tru open top driving while giving you the benefit of a hatchback when you want it. But I don't think I would do that unless I owned the Vette way too cheap. :)

Apologies..
