Why isn't there a expansion tank on any big Blocks vettes?

There are expansion ( or high fill) tanks on some BBs.

the only BB cars that came with them were the 65 396's and the L-88's. the other BB cars used a brass "tanked" rad, so the fender mounted tank wasn't necessary.
