Hey gang couple of questions. I have an 86 coupe original with 138k on it. runs and drives great but I have little history on it. I am fixing to change the anti freeze and oil. What do you folks think about switching to dex cool? I have also had good luck using Castrol GTX in engines where I don't know what has been in them. Also what weight do you recomend?I also want to eliminate the bose stereo. I was given a am/fm cd out of a 99 Cavalier. Any body know if it will fit the dash? I know the wiring and speakers have to be changed. Thanks for your help I am so glad I found this place. Charlie M:confused :confused

I would stay with the regular antifreeze, switch oil to a good 10/30 synthetic such as Mobile 1, Red Line, Amsoil, Chevron Supreme, etc. with a Mobile 1 filter. If your Bose speakers are good you can puchase an interface module so you can run a non Bose stereo system through them, car stereo shops sell them. The modules are small and fit behind the stereo in the dash. Good luck with the new ride Charlie. 84 CF 91 ZR-1
