Well finally got busy flushing the cooling system and the surgery began. My plan was to flush and to install a new Optic Spark and...magic I needed $290 to get a new water pump, the old one had a small leak/the seal was busted.

Removed the balancer (after few words of my own:mad ) and I'd say the 94-96 optic spark is a better part than the 92-93, it was easier to install.

Installed a MSD coil and filled it up with 70%-30% Dex-Cool. I took it on a road test and it die on me, I have no idea what the heck it was but I had my fire extinguiser ready :L 2 Minutes later it started and I drove for 25 minutes including up to 130 MPH...no problem.

I have not open the old optic but the vette has a smoother idle than before.

Nothing like a sedate test drive! LMAO!! :lou :_rock

But then, nothing about you sounds too sedate! :"w
