Copper Metallic 86

Was out and about Thursday and I passed this house (not in a very good neighborhood) and there sit a 86 copper metallic Vette! If I am not mistaken aren't these pretty rare? It was in very,very good condition.
I am going to go back by and see if it appears to just be sitting or what.... who knows

According to the 'Black Book' only 4 copper metallic Corvettes were made in 1986.

I'd say 4 is pretty darn rare and if you own 1 and the 1 I saw 50% is accounted for.
I'm going past that house today to see if it's still sitting and if so I am going to stop and ask what's the story.....maybe it ends up in my driveway!

drove by the house. It was still sitting in the exact same spot so I pulled in the driveway. I then noticed a sign posted on the front door that said private property stay out also there was a liscense plate in the window of the house that said protected by smith & wesson and then so I thought it best to pull right back out.
If you see my first post I mention it is not in a nice neighborhood.
But pulling up next to the car the exterior looks pretty close to perfect

Sounds like backing out was a good idea. How does that go..."Discretion is the better part of Valor". I just wondered if the car had a plate on it.
I got mine last winter/spring (2004). It had 35,000 on it and the rest was almost perfect. I've always wanted a Corvette and at 60 yrs I finally got one. Anyway good luck.
