What would are the correct markings for an a/c compressor for a 67 a/c unit? The Tech & Judging Guide says it's a Frigidaire A-6 unit part number 5910645.
Are these marked on the compressor? There's a unit on ebay and the seller says the only thing marked on it is 084778.
Correct numbers, please?

5910645 is correct, and it's on the Frigidaire foil label on the compressor; if the only number on the one you're considering is 084778, that's probably a commercial rebuilder's code.

Thanks, John. But as to the date code..where would that be? Are there no casting numbers on the case of the Frigi unit in question?

You can get repop foils from Corvette Central.

Oreilly Auto Parts sells rebuilt A6 compressors.

Dont forget the shims.

The date code is also on the Frigidaire foil label (along with the part number), and there's a casting date on the rear plate of the compressor, below the outlet manifold block.
