Corsa exhaust.....

I purchased a 2002 Pewter Corvette Convertible w/ 6,400 miles on it. Thid id my 3rd vette (my other ones were C4s 1992, 1995) and the C% are by far the best I have driven.

I need your advice on a Corsa Exhaust I am purchasing used. Are there cleaners pr solvents to clean the pipes and mufflers? These appear to have a blackish residue on them and I would like to clean them up before installing.

Also I am planning on adding an XO pipe. I read on Corsa's website about how it provides a beter flow of exhaust. Are there other benefits (increased HP, sound)?

I used kitchen appliance stainless steel cleaner and some steel wool.

A cross over pipe smooths out the sound as well. It isn't necessarily louder. Without a cross over there is popping and burbling on deceleration. Some people like that sound. I know I did when I owned my '02 with the corsa pace car exhaust.

As for cleaning, the previous post has some good advice.
