The CA emissions option is basically a certificate that the state requires.
In 1980, the only engine that met the California standards was a 305. The 350 was available elsewhere.

There may have been some other years with minor differences. But I don't think that the modern Corvettes vary from state to state. Export cars have some differences in lights, etc.
