Don't Knock It!

Don't knock it as I've had that happen! The fellow in the brand new Mustang parked close to the passenger side and I can understand that, but some "I don't car about anyone else" creep parked a rusted beat up van next to my driver's side. Couldn't open the door enough to slide in! Paged the creep for 30 minutes as the Mustang belonged to an employee who was out on a call and the creep finally came out. He had a "so what" attitude and couldn't care less if he got another scratch or dent on his truck if someone booted it in frustration.

yep...
had it happen myself.

I can't wait to see the reactions of a Corvette with handicapped tags...

Hasn't happened in the 'Vette

I can feel your pain, this hasn't happened in the 'Vette and if I can help it...it never will.

However, this has happened to me before in one of my Mustangs. I had a '92gt, in darn good condition and I parked it AWAY from everyone else. Well, one day I came out of the building I was teaching in and there was a raggedy S10 on my drivers side. He was so close, I couldn't get in either. The Escalade on the other side was just as close. I went around to get the base sticker numbers off his windshield and his window was down. So, I took the initiative, got in, put the truck in Neutral and pushed it in the parking spot in front of him. Rolled his window up, locked his door and left him a note. "If you like the Mustang so much, call me back and we'll talk about it".

I never heard from him/her.

This picture was on a thread where a Chevelle member was telling us about his newest purchase; '96 Corvette. Someone said that they hope he doesn't turn into the "normal douchebag Corvette" owner and another member posted that picture. I figured some members over here would think it's funny. I did.
:D
(Sorry about my short story)

Here is my reaction it s-----. I have a handicap plate on my Corvette and at the hospital in the handicap parking area I came out to find my car wedged in on the drivers side. I was able to get the passenger door open and squeeze in and crawl over to the drivers side. By the way my handicap plate is for real I have had 4 heart surgerys, I have kidney failure, and congestive heart failure to list just a few of the reasons I have a handicap plate. I sometimes think the other handicap people think that someone who is handicapped should not be driving a Corvette. So they are going to show me what they think by trying to park between the paint and the primer on my car. I have had some rather nasty comments about parking in handicap with a Corvette and before that my motorcycles by passers by. But then there are the times when I get a compliment about the Corvette and how niece it is and that makes the other stuff go away.

I'd have been tempted to leave it in the middle of the street.

A busy street.

I was very tempted, but I was actually in a good mood that day. Plus, it was a really big parking lot and there were no busy roads close by. However, I do like the way you think. :beer:thumb

That brings back some memories of days gone by....many many days gone by...(nights actually)

Back in a previous life back before disco died, me and another buddy drove from Houston to ft Worthless to see a 3rd friend that had been sentenced to live with his uncle during a family crisis...

Anyway, at that time we were heavily into fri & sat nite, and bar hopping. I was still recovering from a near fatal bike accident that cost me 3 months in the ortho ward (at 17 yrs old) at a hospital and was gun shy about driving still, so I got myself a nice Ford p/u with a big brush guard and HD bumper...I was determined not to suffer again the next time I hit something...

So we're circling this bar parking lot looking for a spot and my drunken buddy (cause I was worse) is driving and we see a spot thats half blocked by some butthead that angled into the last space next to the bar ditch and blocked the 2nd space. Danny...being 9ft tall and full of beer decided to "make" room, so he heads MY truck up to this car and pushes it out of the space......into the ditch. Then parks my truck in the 2nd spot.
Now, to normal rational adults this is a bust....big time. But, we went in, had some fun and came out hrs later and left with no consequences....I have no idea how. I guess the driver of that car assumed that he drove it into the ditch or something...back in those days they did'nt arrest us for being stupid and drunk, only if we got mean. So finding your car in a ditch was not a big deal...
hell, I left my Ford Ranchero in a median overnight with 3 flat tires from nailing the curb...and this was IN-town. Back then that was "accepted behavior" for a yound man in Texass. Not any more.....

The story about pushing the beater out of the way reminded me of that....must have been 40 yrs ago.

Now THAT is a good night out with the buddies. :thumb

In the good-ol days (in England) many's the motor bike, usually with sidecar, that was retrieved from the farmers field, the following day. Those who park that close to another vehicle deserve what they get......Roger.
