Corvette hatchback???

I have seen them before..
I think the one I saw was installed by the dealer.
You can modify your car to have one if you wish.

I sure would like to hear from someone who's done it. Where to get the kit, how difficult to install, cost, etc.?

Any one out there? :w

GM made 78's with the hatchback ? Dang.. Didnt know that..
I've heard about the kit, never seen one though..
:w

I looked at the picture again... I don't think it's a 78. The seats are from a later model (79 or up) and the side badges (front fenders) on the 78's were cross flags.

And the rear spoiler? Wasn't that only available on the pace car?

A factory photo could show anything they were dreaming of at the time. However, only the 82 CE came with hatchback option, the rest were aftermarket kits/customs. Nut has one on his 81 and I'm told the kits have not been made for a long time.

That pic is of an 82.It has a cross fire injection emblem on the fender. The ebayer just listed it wrong.
That's what I thought too, Mark, but that's not an 82 bumper. The car has 78 PC - 82 seats, looks like the Crossfire emblem and 78PC or optional spoiler. Sure would be interesting to know the story behind the picture.

Good eyes,I also just noticed the tires, cant be an 82.

I think it is not a Chevy Factory add at all, but an add from one of the companies that actually produced the hatch conversions. Just my two cents.

I agree.
That's about the only theory that holds water with this picture, Rod.
