Cadillac and Corvette come to Ireland
Cadillac and Corvette, the well known American brands of General Motors, are coming to Ireland. The OHM Group announce that they have been appointed as distributors for Ireland by Cadillac & Corvette Europe.
General Motors intend to establish Cadillac and Corvette as successful worldwide brands and are targeting Europe with cars which have been specifically developed with the European driver in mind and with right hand drive models.
Cadillac & Corvette Ireland will shortly commence the appointment of a dealer network and retail sales will start in the autumn. The first model to be introduced will be the CTS, a luxury rear wheel drive saloon with 2.8 and 3.6 V6 engines. This will be followed next year by the BLS, a front wheel drive mid sized premium saloon and for the first time in Cadillac’s history available with a turbodiesel variant. Like the petrol versions (175, 210, and 255 hp), the 1.9 Turbodiesel (150 hp) offers the dynamic driving performance that customers have come to expect from Cadillac.
Cadillac & Corvette Ireland is part of the OHM Group, one of Ireland’s leading automotive distributors. OHM currently handle many well known brands including Saab, Jaguar, SEAT, Chrysler, Jeep and Daihatsu cars, DAF and MAN trucks, LDV vans, Hyster lift trucks and Lister Petter and SDMO engines and generators.
Kroymans Corporation, based in Hilversum in the Netherlands, took control of the sales, marketing and distribution of Cadillac and Corvette products throughout Europe on 1 October 2003 by forming Cadillac & Corvette Europe in Breukelen, Netherlands. Kroymans Corporation is an established European distributor and retailer of prestige car marques.
Cadillac and Corvette are brands of General Motors Corporation.
