Ok I grew up on a farm, I know about Holstein and Jersey udders but CORVETTE udders. ;LOL

I don't want to run the risk of water intrusion nor having the wiper motor submerged. Anyone have pictures or instructions ?

TIA,

Andy

Pleased to meet you Mam,

I kinda' jumped over the introduction section and just went straight to the C2 and C5 sections, did noticed how you are very good at Welcoming and keeping up with others birthdays. If I can ever make it to Cruisin' the Coast or some other occasion we'll have to meet. You sound like a true Southern Lady.

I came in the back door, every once in a while some one tries to get me to use the front!

So are there a total of four? :upthumbs ON THE CAR! Great, I'm going to have a locked thread here also! VERY Appropriate description! I'm trying to behave! Not sure if there is a probation period here.

There is actually three drain udders on the left (driver) side, under the cowl. The third one is a little further back but can be reached with your hand.

Driver's side done, when squeezed felt and sounded like crushing "Corn Flakes" , removed a couple of the clips holding the wiper cover found a few leaves. Now what about the ones on the passenger side. Any Pictures?

I have no photos of the right side,Haven't had one Whacked on the that side yet!!:upthumbs

Driver's side easy to see and get to. I thought the passenger side udder was behind the battery and required the battery to be removed to get to.

Here we go again! :D I have been down this road a few times and here is what I recommend that you do to fix it with the LEAST amount of time, money and pain!
First things first! REMOVE the carpet and jute underlayment! You can reinstall the seat if you want. With the carpet removed, you will NO DOUBT be able to track down and PIN POINT the area where the leak originates!
Next! While your carpet is out, you can use a carpet wet and dry cleaning machine to get the carpet spotless. Once it is clean put it somewhere that it will dry COMPLETLY! If it doesnt dry properly, it will mildew and STINK!!! The humidity will also damage electronics!
You have a large single drain tube on the passengers side of the windshield cowl. You will need to remove the battery to get to it. It snakes down through a whole bunch of stuff.
Here is what it looks like: Area behind the battery

Tube removed from the car! Looks like something from the movie Creature from the black lagoon!!!

This is the end of the tube!
achose2.jpg

The tube is soft rubber. If it is solid, it is clogged!!!
There are three small udders on the drivers side. If they clog, the water can destroy your wiper motor!!!

Put your hand in and milk out the trash.

I will continue this in another POST!

Last but not least is the air box drain. When you use the AC or Defrost, condensation collects in the HVAC air box. If it cant drain out, it will leak in the pass foot well!!
Here is the drain tube. It lives on the passengers firewall just aft of the cylinder head: Flash light beam highlihts the area where the drain tube is:

The crimped end needs to be cut off.
Here is wher it lives!

Almost forgot about this. There are fender well access panels in both front fender wells. You can access the large and small drains in each access.

Dont forget to check and see if the side window seals and or top leaks!!
BC

Thank You, Bill

Hey Junkie,
Nice hood. Where did you buy it? I'm going for a supercharger and I'll need a few more inches of clearance.
Thanks,
Sal

Water in Passenger floor

When I wash my 04 it's usally on a slight incline with the front end higher. I have noticed water on the floor board; where glove box meets the dash; and a few drips across the door speaker grill. Do any of you think this could be an "utter problem" or something else? I am not sure if this would happen when it rains we don't get out in bad weather. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.:confused

I cleaned out my passenger-side cowl drain today and took some udder pictures to add to Bill Curlee's excellent pictures.

Udderly remarkable timing...

No problems with my udders ;LOL but my drivers side sprayer stopped working. The other one is fine. Any suggestions?

cleaning the udders

I cleaned my udders with compressed air. I got a piece of water heater hose and lined it up with the top of the udders on the driver's side and and blew the crap out of the udder. Then I hose off the things under that. I accomplished this while the wiper motor was being replaced. That's not a hard job either.
