I have all the interior trim pieces and carpet out of my new vette that I bought. I plan on fixing it from the ground up. I noticed that in the passenger side foot well, the floor was cracked up front near the side of the car. Some yahoo had trioed to patch it with pop rivets and tin cans): I took that off and did a proper patch job with fiberglass cloth and resin. My question is, does this indicate that the car was in an accident?
Also, I thought I had seen everthing, but this really blew me away. There was also a hole in the driver's side foot well. This was no accident though. Someone punched a hole in the floor so they could run battery cables to the subwoofer amp in the hatch back. Yes, you are reading correctly. They purposely punched a 3 inch diameter hole in the floor (looks like it was done with a hammer and chisel) and ran both positive and negative battery cables to the amp. How much power did this person think a 150W amp needed? They also had a 60 AMP inline fuse. The amp would have melted before that baby blew
