hi..just getting my 65 done and want to put a set of crager ss wheels on it...can't beat that timeless beauty..they'll be the only thing on it non-original...anyway, does anyone know what offets to get to make sure they clear the calipers and fit properly?...i'm sticking with the 15x7's and sure don't want to go unilug...i'd rather not use any spacers if i don't have to...any particular supplier better than others, as far as price and service?...i'm in ohio if that makes any difference...thanks, this forum is great!

try summit racing....

i have been looking also and see the best deal at www.summitracing.com
they also have a new version of the ss along with the original....its a one pcs weldless wheel that im sure will last and look much better...only about $50 per wheel extra.....and summit only gets 7 bucks for shipping...i would advise talking to them about fit for your vette....just my opinion...good luck pal.

I recently installed cragar ss on my 65. MY origanal wheels where 15x6 so I went with the same size. I also was running 215 70r 15 tires. First you have to use a spacer to make the wheels work, I beleave its a 3/8 or 1/2 .This combination caused the rear wheel wells to bottom out on the tires. So I went with a 205 70r 15 and it still hit but less. I had to set the camber in about 1/2" and now it doesn't touch. I love the way the wheels look but Iam not happy with the way I had to make this work. If cragar is now making a wheel with the proper back set than go with it otherwise go with a look alike that has the proper spacing . Roland.

We just put the Cragar S/S on our '81 & haven't taken a picture yet .... but they look great & we get positive comments on them all the time ...

Fred,

I'd love to see a picture when you get it done.

I'm thinking about getting some of those too.
