Cruise Control ? 99 Coup

Noticed on a trip this weekend that when I hit an unusually rough bump on the freeway, my cruise control would disengage. No read out on the DIC.

Also had the cruise control disengage at other times for no apparent reason. Some times I was able to reengage and at other times the only way to get it to work again was to completely stop the care and turn it off.

Any ideas?

I think that is a problem for the dealer. The electric's on the C-5 got better each year.

Hi there,
If you are a little mechanically inclined, then I would say that your first course of action is to adjust your brake light switch, as sometimes they are not adjusted correctly.
Another thing, is that your program for your PCM may have to be updated, as there was a newer program to assist in fixing this condition.

My problem of the cruise control not staying on was solved by adjusting the Brake light switch.
