Help! Dash Lighting

Hello all. Just purchased a '81 Vette. I do not get any system check lighting on my dash when starting or chime. Can someone point me in the right direction to begin troubleshooting?

Potential 2 different problems- By "system check light" do you mean the check engine light or when you turn the key to start, just before the starter cranks the engine no lights come on or go off?

The chime could be the key buzzer?

When I turn the key and before the engine cranks, I have no lights. Any suggestions?

1st Welcome to CAC!!!!

there should be a couple of lites in the center console that lite when you start it,,,
I would start with the fuses to see if they are OK,if so then you will have to dig deeper....
