Dash Trim

I know this is a simple question, but I'll ask anyway...

I'm assuming the trim on the dash (specifically around the radio) just pops off, right? I noticed the other day that the trim in my 04 seems to be loose in the upper right corner by the radio...and that there is probably a quarter inch gap between the radio and the trim.

Speaking of which, how many "nuisance" problems should I expect out of my new 04? It's already been to the dealer once with problems, and now I notice this trim that doesn't seem to be installed quite right. I thought I got rid of these nitpicky problems when I bought a corvette... :confused

HI there,
Actually, if it doesnt fit correctly, they would most likely replace it if it is warped.
As far as problems, things happen, but the 04 were the best of the 5th generation.

Same Problem Different car

My 2003 has the same issue. I've had it in the Dealer twice and they've replaced the Console piece twice. Still have the gap. Now I'm told it's a problem inherent to Vette's. It's frustrating as hell that I paid this much for a car and the thing can't sit flush!

In addition to that I have some nit-picky issues with the Driver's Seat. Doesn't automatically move all the way forward when I put the key in. Have to keep hitting the memory button to get it to inch forward. That and a headlight that likes to hide every once in a while...of course none of these problems happen when I've had it at the dealer...:mad
