First it's the annoying rattle in the roof latch -

Now, I seem to have developed the most annoying vibration and/or humming sound coming from either the vents or top part of dash.

It happens on acceleration, with or without vents on/off. The noise is so annoying I'm ready to trade it in.

I'd hate for the dealer to take apart the dash (it seems it never goes back in one piece or the way it came out of the factory). At least that’s my experience based on C4, C5, and now C6 ownership.

Does anyone have a similar or possible the same noise I'm experiencing?
thanks,
chris

Well, teach it the lyrics and it won't have to humm. :flaming

Just kidding cause I have developed a buzz in the dash of my C-5 and it's getting annoying.

Had the same issue with my 63 Corvair Spyder but all it took was the torn matchbook cover wedged between the windshield and dash. Got a feeling this won't be that simple.

I was thinking of ...... a dose ..... spray the whole dash with that Armor All stuff but I have great reservations about that. When I used it on an old Sirocco in like 1980 it was just a dust magnet and worse ... it turned some of the black plastic waxy white .... Yech!

Sorry to hear about your problems Blue 260, but I haven't had any problems with either of mine. Guess I'm no help.

Vibration and hum is really starting to #$%........

I purchased my C6 new and developed this rattle/vibration/hum at about 10k miles.

I removed the cabin air filter and stuck a vacuum hose inside using both suction and then blowing - to no avail!

The sound is right behind the center dash stack.

Does anyone know how to remove the center stack trim so I might find out whats creating this problem.

Any ;help would be most appreciated.

Is it possible that this is a warranty issue? I mean, a 08 with 10k on the clock?

I have no doubt that it can be covered under warranty.
However, my above post spells it out why I prefer not to let them take the dash area apart.
I would prefer to do this myself.
This is in no way bashing the service techs at Chevy, but after 16 years of corvettes being my daily drivers, I've seen quite a few shoddy repairs.
Again, my hope was someone else may have been experiencing the same issue.
thanks
chris
