I got a letter from My Chevrolet dealer today. It states, and I’m paraphrasing here.
This dealer has been selected as a site to conduct a “special market test pricing and financing event”.
It goes on to say, “This dealer is in desperate need to acquire several pre-owned 1997 Chevrolet Corvettes in order to fulfill special used vehicles requests”.
Since I’m in their records that indicate I own one of these vehicles, the new car managers have been authorized to buy back my Corvette. Bla…bla …bla, I can probably get into a new 2003 with very little out of pocket expense and near same payments.
Does this sound like a typical sales ploy? Or has anybody else got an offer like this? I will call’em up and see what the poop is, and post what I find out. I was just wondering….hum..???? This 97 has 138,000 mi…a brand new 2003???? Very tempting.

For the record I have been very pleased with this dealership, with the service and customer care I have received during my relationship with them.
