I'm trying to get my hands around the OP.

Is "quirk" a dealer of some kind or an individual?

When you say they "threw you out", are you speaking literally? It would be hard for me to believe a seller would use physical force on a woman over pitted wheels. Perhaps, you're speaking figuratively meaning they refused to stand behind the sale.

Also, when you say you called GM and they "yelled at you". What did GM say when they were yelling? I'm sorta having a hard time believing that you called General Motors for help in your situation and they yelled at you. If true, Chevrolet's customer service at the mfg. level has slipped significantly.

After Bank Chevrolet acid washed the wheels, what did they look like? The reason I ask is the wheels were truly "pitted", ie: small holes in the surface, washing them with acid or anything else would not eliminate the pits.
