I have theEXACT same problem with my Bose. No clue whats is causing it. I think my poor amplified speakers are in the process of dying out.

I plan to pull the Bose stuff and install a Pioneer receiver.

Assume the following

That the POWER to the Bose speakers comes thru a RELAY and there is only 1.

If all the speakers POP on at once it's a good bet it's the relay.

and the AMP relay is BURIED under the dash in the hole where the radio is.. right side rear of the hole the radio goes into.

I'm assuming the following

When you turn the radio on.. the antenna goes up normally and the unit powers up normally....right?

Replace the........

SPEAKER RELAY...( or at least test it)

On the relay there is a pink black line which is the OUTPUT on the relay. When the radio's on and that relay is CLOSED the PINK/Black should be HOT.

Note here,
On the REAR of the car the wire color changes to a PINK.

The easiest way to test is remove the speaker grille... unhook the 4 pin connector... the BLACK line is GND and the pink will be HOT.

Check it out... and If 1 speaker doesn't have power it's a sure bet they all do not!
