I have a 95 Vette with 87k that is in need of a good professional tune up. Anyone have any recommendations for quality mechanic/shop in Denver, CO?
Thanks

Max,
I can't argue with Bill's suggestion- Alex does good work.

I will also point out that on the basis of the number of certified Corvette mechanics to the volume of the overall dealership, Purifoy Chevrolet is also a very good place to take your Vette. Unfortunately, they are up in Fort Lupton, and that distance factor puts a lot of people off.

Good luck!

Alex was great! Went way above the call of duty! Actually met my wife to drap off the car at 8:30 p.m. Had it ready the next day! The work was great. I am now recommending him too! Thanks for the tip!

That's great to hear Gary...though not a surprise. Alex is just the coolest cat you will ever meet...and just happens to be a good Corvette mechanic.

What did you have done to it?

Bill

Alex does indeed to very good work. He's honest, fair and completely reliable to be done with the work when he says. His place is a little hard to find unless you know what landmarks you're looking for, but it's a find that's well worth the effort.

So what work did you have done to it, Gary? Was it a repair or an enhancement/upgrade?

No biggie - Plugs, wires and radiator flush and fill. But I know he did the job right and didn't mess anything else up. He also gave me some tips for future maintenance to keep her purrring. Speaking of radiator I just had the radiator flushed by local Chevy deal 2 months ago for $99. When Alex does it he tells me the antifreeze flows like jello and there is more gunk than fluid. Hmmmm... Guess that will be the last time that Chevy dealer touches my baby. Also the dealer told me it was overheating due to some bad electronic parts. It would cost me around $300 for parts and install. Alex does his thing and says no way just needed a cleaning. Extremely reasonable on price too. He's got my business as long as he wants it.
