Design of the stock mufflers

Does anyone know the internal design of the stock mufflers on the C4. Also, it would be helpful to know the path of the exhaust gases through the muffler in order to know if it is that restrictive. Im considering a replacement, so if the stock mufflers are not a straight through design, it would be worth replacing; better sound counts also.

I know how the L98s are designed, but they made changes by the LT1.

It is not quite that restrictive on the LT1, its a better design, but it is definitely not a straight thru design.
