Did Nissan steal our logo?

I can't help but looking at the Nissan logo, the circle with the bar going across it, and keep thinking that it looks like our C-4 logo. The ends of the bar are straight cut, where as the C-4 is angle cut, but it certainly looks familiar. What do you think?

Then again, the Datsun 240/260/280Z's engine was a straight six- a throw back to the days of the blue flame....;squint:
