Hi to all. Are both yokes coming out of the diff. have c clips on them ? When I pulled the half shafts off, I noticed I could pull the right side out but knot the left. Any thoughts? Thanks

Sounds like your clip has fallen off, or been mashed up in there. Chances are your side yokes are damaged as well.

The inner ends of the yokes are case-hardened where they ride on the VERY hard pinion shaft; when they wear through the case-hardening, the wear accelerates dramatically, and eventually wears the end of the yoke right to the groove for the "C"-clip, which then falls into the bottom of the diff.

Two cures - either reconditioned yokes with a hardened "button" added to the inboard end, or new yokes from International Axle & Manufacturing. In either case, it's rebuild time for the diff, as all those metal shavings don't do any good for the gears, bearings, and Posi clutch plates.
