Differential Question

i wanna know some info on this spare diff i have. when i bought my car i was given alot of spare parts...the diffy is complete but there is no back cover but i know its a posi...the numbers i can read are these......."1898143" "CON" and "E 6 8" the numbers on the bottom flat rectangular plate i can not make out...i believe its a 1968 but i noticed the C1's came with the 8 at the end too....thanks again

The casting is a 68, but the stamp on the bottom tells you when it was assembled and for what original drivetrain configuration.
