I have diff. out of a '68'. What are the end play limits lateraly. I pulled off the cover and measure .036 on one side and .038 on the other. I'm measuring at the end of the yokes to the cross shaft. This car was driven hard for 150,000 miles. I,ve checked GM m/m with no luck. Help!

Believe it or not, there is no published GM spec for side yoke end play - yours are nice and tight, especially for the miles on the car; most guys don't worry about it until it's up around .080" or more. The ends of the yokes are hardened - once wear gets through the hardened layer, they wear very rapidly.
