I have noticed that the headlights on my 2000 coupe slightly dim when I hit the brakes. The meter is on about 13.5 when I start the car and goes to 14 after a few miles. I do not notice the gauge changing when I hit the brakes. Do I have a developing problem? :confused

HI there,

It sounds like your battery is getting weak.

Check out your battery for at least 12.5 volts and 500 CCA for testing. Make sure your battery terminals are torqued to 11 ft lbs.

You should have a 78 class battery.

Thanks C4C5. I had the battery replaced with a Optima Red Top today. I have another question. When we went to torque the posts there was not enough room to get the torque wrench on the battery post nuts. I hope we got them tight enough!! :ohnoes
