I just found out that the C6 that I ordered the first days of February will not be made in the color I ordered. It seems that Chevrolet doesn't know how much paint they have when they accept an order. Now- I have to wait til June to get the car that was supposed to be delivered in April. The new Yellow is a color that they can't even show me. Hope the car is a bigger high than the ordering process.....

Is there any chance you can get your deposit back and perhaps find one on a dealer's lot somewhere?

I wonder if the Millennium Yellow on a C6 will become a collector's item?

Hey Tammy,
The dealer located 3 Millenium yellow cars. They each had leass than I wanted and ordered. Also- 2 were automatics. I want a 6 speed. I don't want to settle. I really want it the way I want it. Also- the price has gone up since I ordered it and it would work against me to cancel

Hey swatch, if you go here http://www.corvetteconti.com/News/News.asp at Rick "Corvette" Conti's site and scroll down 1/4 page you can see some color samples of the new Victoy Yellow next to Millenium Yellow. They have samples showing all the reds too. Hope this helps.

abowtieguy,
thanks for that link. I've been looking everywhere to try to find the color comparisons.

Glad you're not settling. Ultimately, you wouldn't have been satisfied until you got the exact car that you want.

I was at Bowling Green this weekend and I saw an actual sample of the Velocity Yellow. Not on a whole car, but on a piece stamped out for the front light washers (export version). It does not look like the sample on Conti's site. It is a lighter and almost greener yellow. It is weaker than the MY. I think you made the right decision.

incompetence

that's another perfect example of why i will no longer order a car to be made from gm they apparently haven't a clue how to produce a car on time. i was trying to trade my coupe in for a vert my dealer said we'll order one for you for stock. car was ordered 2/20, as of 2 weeks ago the order wasn't picked up yet so i'm realistically looking at delivery the 4th of july if i'm lucky. went on another vette web site to ***** got an e mail from a guy saying he had the exact car i wanted dsom vert, 6 speed and everything else with 200 + miles that he'd sell me. to make a long story short that car is now sitting in my garage. after i agreed to the deal gm picked up my order. but too late as far as i'm concerned . so rather than put up with all the gm delays, allotments etc. i'll only go after a car already built
