DIY Home Security

Does anyone have a Do it yourself home security system, with passive inferred, they would recommend? I only need audio nothing connected to the police station...I have good neighbors that are home all the time.

I use a Walther PPK...only problem is they have to be in your sites

I'm looking at things for my detached garage since it is separate from the main house.

My PPK, even with a ramp job stoved pipe more often then not. Got rid of it and replaced it with a Berreta 380, to complement my 96F and my Springfield .45
