Does power steering on a C2 increase engine temperature

Just wondering if that could be a problem for an over heated engine. Does PS pull much HP.
 
I’m no expert, but, if your PS is pulling that hard, there’s a problem with the power steering pump. I doubt seriously if the problem is the PS. My old 64 had a problem with the radiator that caused it to run warm. Replaced it and the problem went away. Just a thought.

It would not cause a coolant overheating issue if it works properly.


Yes, it is a parasitic drag on the engine, but not much.
 
would check your fan clutch
