You should be able to do it with the door closed. Open your hood and remove your battery access panel, this should expose the bolts where the hinge mounts to the body. Loosen all bolts a little and see if you cant nudge door back. It should go because holes through hinge are elongated a little. Tighten bolts and check fit carefully to make sure nothing has moved to much. Good luck. Tim
