Door Control Module codes B2284/B2285

I have had a recurring P1416 code and have been putting off removing the intake manifold to fix it, but that means I have to either put up with the check engine light, or clear that code several times a week. But that's not what my question is about.

Today, when clearing the 1416, I saw two new codes, B2284 and B2285, referring to Left and Right Door Control modules, and "battery #2 fault." Both of these were history codes, but I haven't been able to identify what "battery #2" is, or what I should do about it.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi there,
These codes could be caused by a few things.
First, a low battery condition, like when starting could cause these codes.
Second, if you have ever had a condition, like when the door locks or windows do not work, there could be a terminal that is spread out at the connectors to the body harness at each door jamb.
More information would be key as to what is causing your problem.

I have not had any other symptoms - no problems with the door controls (windows, locks, mirrors, seat memory). And if it were a loose connection, isn't it odd that both had the same problem at the same time?

The battery is original, but two friends out here with build dates before and after mine have both had a catastrophic battery failure which left them each stranded in parking lots, with no prior symptoms. Ever since the second incident, I've been considering replacing the battery preemptively. However, the battery hasn't leaked, and the system reads 13.8-14.2v depending on what's turned on.

Could this be what pushes me to invest $135 in a spiral-wound battery?
