What is the correct door gap . . if there is one and can you grind down the rear edge of the door and if so by how much . . is there a metal plate in that rear edge or is it all glass?
Correct door-to-quarter gap is 1/8"-1/4", same to the sill and the fender. I'd work with the fore-aft adjustment on the door side of the hinges and try to get uniform gaps at the front and rear of the door before I'd start grinding on the back of the door. The back of the door is all 'glass.
