Door keeps trying to unlock

Less than a month ago, some a-hole scraped my driver side door. The door is not dented, but scratched pretty badly. I have the damages worked out by his insurance comp. But, ever since i have been having big problems with the door lock. It keeps trying to unlock itself, generally starts after a big bump.

On bad occations, i'll here clicking sounds in the door, the interior lights will flash, and the door ajar light will flash. But none of these actually stay on, just flash. I then have to slow down or come to a stop, open and close the door quickly... only to wait for the next large bump to set this off again. The door never comes ajar and is closed.

I am going to the dealer tomorrow because I can no longer tolerate this. Its incredibly annoying. This is a daily event.

Does anyone have an ideas about the problem here?

Sounds like your door/ajar switch (s) are having a problem. The are located at the rear of the doors. You can adjust them by gently pulling out the center pin. A little tuner cleaner probably would not be a bad idea.
