the nut came off of the inside door handle. got to get behind (remove and reinstall) the drivers door panel and replace it on a 97 C5.

whats the best way to get it off with out screwin anything up? lol

thanks!

HI there,
T30 for the 2 bolts behind the handle plug.
And a large scraper to get behind the panel, and pry it away from the door.
Once there, the 10mm bolts for the handle can be accessed.

Any auto parts store should care a door panel removal tool. I highly recommend it as it will straddle the plastic pins that hold the door panel on. Without it, you are likely to break a pin or 2.

Also, if you lower the window, the pick on the panel as you remove it. The top sort-of hooks over the top of the door, and lowering the glass makes it easier.

You can do it with a screwdriver (not the tool mentioned above), but be very careful. Once you get one loose, the others will just "pop" off with a tug.
