I have a 94 vette admiral blue. Its sweet !!! But when I drive around the left side driver's door unlocks itself. If I hit a bump or if I turn right the drivers door will unlock and the lights come on. I don't know what to do or how to fix it. Please help.

Welcome

Hi Ned4spd and welcome to the CAC!

Sorry I can't help you with your tech problem but hopefully someone will be along soon that can.

Good luck and again, welcome to the site.

Thanks anyway, I hope someone can help me its driving me crazy and I don't want to take the door apart without know how to fix it.

I think it’s a GM thing. I had the same thing happen on one of my GM sedans. I think it was the electric door button that was causing the problem... worn out from use.

Sounds like the door/ajar switch(s). Try spraying them with a little WD-40 & working them in & out. May help-may not. If not, they can be changed without removing the door panel, memory serving?

I'm with Rabbit on this one - the door ajar switches should be checked.

I had a similar problem with my ex-92. The interior lights would flash sometimes going of a bump. The door ajar switches have an adjustable center plunger. They can be pulled out, then they 'adjust' when you close the door. If the center plunger gets too loose, the adjust too much and don't really close the switch properly. This is what happened to mine. I "adjusted" it with a very small o-ring that I slipped over it.

Hope this helps.
