I've owned my Vette since 99. Always modded and shown. A couple of months ago my Son talked me into signing up for the Corvette Challange. Which is a series of races . You earn points for every round you win, money for winning the meet, and at the end of the series you win more money if you are in the top four or five. I have to say, I am having a blast. After three races I am just two points out of first. It's bracket racing and being consistant is what it's all about. I'm running 13.1 to 13.2 . I've got a big show coming up so I've spent a week trying to get the car in shape. It took three nights to scrape the rubber out of the wheel wells with a puddy knife and finally gas on a rag. There is somthing really cool about flooring it and competing. It's all about having fun , right .

Once you get the fender-wells in tip-top condition, try spraying them with a release agent (PAM), and the " Akron fall-out " won't stick as well.

Bracket racing IS a blast:
good luck at the strip!
