Does anyone know is the last Friday in June a National Drive your Vette to work day. I thought I read it some where and can't find out if it's true. But I Drive mine every chance I get. "Save The Wave"

Never Mind found it on the web site. Sorry

June 26, 2009. Here is the link where I verified it. Unfortunately, I am away from home and my poor Corvette will be stuck alone in the garage that day, but I will be thinking of all of all of you that day.

Here is a post from Rob in the News and Announcement Forums from May about National Drive Your Corvette To Work Day

Sorry to hear your 78 will miss out this year bs78. I bet there will be a few 78's out there who will hoist one in your honor ..

Rush hour is not the place for my Vette.....Like motorcyclists, it's the other drivers I worry about. The last thing I want, is to be the bologna in the sandwich....Count me out....Oh...And I'll be on my way to the Jersey Shore with the family that morning....I'll take the Beamer thank you!

Does work at home count?:w

If working at home, I think you'll need to get up in the morning, drive it around the block, do your work, drive it around the block again at lunch time to get to your own kitchen for lunch, another trip back again after lunch, and one more at the end of the day to go from work at home to just home.

Good Luck
Brad.

So. you peel out of the garage at 60 mph do a figure 8 and land back in the garage in reverse. You call it a day. Gotta love work.

I'm retired and will go into the garage and tell the corvettes to take the day off. WORK is now a 4 letter word.

While I normally would not drive my vette on Fridays (getting out of town traffic heaviest on Fridays) I'll make it a point to drive it on 6/26...and I'll get the wife to drive GRMSVT that day too.

Mine is my DD too.. Happy Corvette Day, either way.. :D

I may have to pull it out and drive it to the park and ride. I'm still not comfortable with a freeway drive in hot Houston traffic.
i'll participate as long as it's not going to rain

If its not raining Gail will drive it to work for me!!!!

aw come on... it's ONE day of the year to represent, y'know? strength in numbers! especially these days with the way the economy, the fuel shortage, and the future of the general and bowtie looking so grim.

and btw, fwiw... you should know this if you drive one.... it's "BIMMER", not "BEAMER". and this one's up for sale so i can spend more time in the vette :thumb
