Drivers side courtesy light location.

Hello Everyone,

I have a 1975 convertable. The drivers side courtesy light was missing from day one. I finally go a courtesy light frame support and wire bu have no clue where it mounts. The both service manuals do no show where it mounts. Does anyone know where i mounts on a 1975 C3 and have any pics of where it mounts? Anything will be of great help.

Your 1975 Assembly Manual should show exactly where it goes, and how it mounts.

The 1975 Assembly Manual does not show where it goes, only a general picture of the unit under the dash but not it's correct loaction. Can anyone take a picture of theres and post it?

On a 81 is located on the kickpanel in front of the door. There is a small bracket on the kickpanel where the light clicks in Don't know if that is the same with the older interiors.

Have you found the pigtail for the lamp? Mounting will be limited by the length of the pigtail.

whoops, my mistake. I discribed the passengers side. The drivers side for a 81 is originally on the backside of the dash (lowest part) right under the steering column.
