Suddenly, my drivers side power door lock doesn't work.

It just
toggles back & forth and is very loose, like its not connected. Can
anyone explain how to correct this problem? Thanks so much.

Got a couple of questions:

Does your PKE transmitter cause the passenger door to unlock when it is brought within range?

Can you hear a noise from the drivers door when the transmitter is brought in range? Does it make a noise when the transmitter is moved out of range?

Does the Passenger door lock operate when the inside switch to that door is operated?

Do any doors lock/inlock when the drivers door switch is operated? Both doors?

Can you hear a noise when the when the drivers door lock switch is operated? Both doors?

Answers may help you determine if the switch is bad, the locking motor is bad, or if it is a mechanical linkage that is simply disconnected.

I do not have the PKE transmitting system. Key operated only. Like I
stated in my thread, the drivers side "lock" switch is in-operable.
It is very loose in its position and it feels like its disconnected on the
inside of the door panel. Sometimes upon toggling back & forth, it
"nudges" the locks, but will not unlock. Thankyou for your responce
to this Matter. :beer
