Awhile back I posted about my Dr's car. I found out for sure yesterday what it is. An E55 V8 KOMPRESSOR by AMG. He says he can out run an '04 Corvette. I don't know if he meant a Z06 but he did mean my car a 5.7L. Any thoughts and how strong is this car?
Thanks,

Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG Sedan
Mercedes says that the supercharged 5.4-liter V-8 in the E55 AMG is hand-assembled by a “master engine builder” who vouches for his work with a signature plate affixed to each of these 469-horsepower engines. So, if the owner of an E55 sedan can’t make the zip to 60 mph in the promised 4.5 seconds, he or she has someone to blame. But it’s more likely that people who can come up with the $81,920 it takes to buy one of these sedans ($83,320 for the wagon) don’t care as much about acceleration as they do about image and visual impact, which is supplied in abundance by all of the AMG-badged and -built special items that range from the substantial—eight-piston aluminum brake calipers with larger perforated rotors, and a suspension with specially developed struts, springs, and dampers—to the sublime: Black Birdseye maple-wood trim and comfortable, multicontour sport seats.
This is from Car and Driver. Sounds like a push to me, except the price.
