Drug home a new project

Very Nice.

What are you planning on doing with it?

Is the color salmon or is that just the lighting?

Like the others said, it looks pretty darn good. I'd say you're well on your way to building a beauty.

Thanks, guys. It's the fluorescent shop lighting and my cheapo camera. It's really Riverside Red. Plans are to pull the numbers matching motor and trans and stash them in a corner of the shop. I'll replace that with a ~500 bhp 383 and a 5 speed conversion so I can actually cruise the freeway with the 3.70 gears. Sidepipes are very tempting, but I really don't want to do anything to this car that can't be easily changed back to stock. From what I've read, some say that you don't need to trim the lower fenders for sidepipes and some say that you do. I know they did from the factory, so I tend to think it's required. Any opinions on that?

Chris

If you go with stock style side exhaust you probably do. If you go with hooker competion side pipes you don't.

Good luck with you project.

Welcome aboard Chris. It looks liked your garage is full of projects like mine.

Thank you! Yes, the shop is pretty full, but I couldn't pass this one up. I'm finishing a '34 Ford coupe hot rod before I finish up the '63.

I know the feeling. I have to finish my stepside truck before I get back on the '59 again.
