A true story - could this happen to you (instead of a RV substitute a house/condo/apt/etc and nabor could be John/Mary/Bill/etc
You want to hear about the dumb Corvette/motor home owner?
This morning he locked the door of the rv on his way to work. He opened the
door of the Corvette (you have to have a fob in your pocket to open as it
doesn't have a key). He got inside, put the rv keys on the seat where he usually
does and tried to start the car. It wouldn't start so he thought he had a dead
battery (stupid as the lights were on). So he got out of the car and shut
the door which 8 seconds later automatically locked (which it is suppose to do).
He then tried to open the car door and discovered he did not have the fob in
his pocket. How the door opened in the first place is a mystery to this minute unless it was not locked all night (heaven forbid - even dumber).
So there he stood at 7:30am with a locked car and a locked rv and no keys to
either one.
So he checked all the windows of the rv and none would open (locked as they
should be). So he went 2 doors away to see a nabor to see about calling for a
locksmith to open the rv door. Michael, nabor, said are you sure you cant get
in the rv thru a window. I'm a lot smaller than you maybe I can crawl in.
Then a lightbulb came on in his head (mine) and he said oh maybe the window
in the living room will open. So Michael climbed up on a ladder (fortunatley I
had outside) and after a few pushes, etc opened the window over the sofa.
There stood two ferocious white dogs (10lbs each) barking their heads off at the intruder.
Well fearless Michael pushed the beasts aside and with a little push climbed
head first through the window and into the rv. Then opened the door to let the
embarrassed owner in to get the fob for the car which then opened and got the
rv keys to lock the rv and go off to work, about 30 minutes late.
So how was your day today!!!
