Does anyone have the info to Ye Ol Wheel shop? I can't seem to find their website.

If I recall the refinish price was 375/set? Is this right?

Thanks.

Surf, you didn't by chance see if they had Sat. hours did you??

I know for a set of four, it was 395 however, those were bare Dymags to begin with.

Did you ever contact Dymag and ask what the correct paint code for finishing is??

90Callaway's wheels are DARN close, he used a Mercedes brilliant silver :cool

I will call tomorrow and ask about refinishing, as well as, Magnesium repairs for chips, cracks, etc & let everyone know the scoop :m
I spoke to the wheel man at Ye Ole Wheel Shop in Maryland today - he said that wheel refinishing, specifically Dymags, runs $95-$115 per wheel. The difference in pricing comes from condition, etc. If the wheels have nicks and chips, they are on the high end of that spectrum. I saw a set of Dymags refinished by them - done for $395 for all 4 and they were beautiful!! They were 17x9.5 & 17x11's off a race car, possibly a spare set from the Ft. Stockton ZR1 runs :confused

Turned out well :)

The fella also said they can FIX Magnesium :eek Cracks, chunks, whatever, it can be fixed. He did say he was going to have to see those wheel on a case by case basis & priced based upon damage...

Their number is (800) 526-8260
they are open M-F 8-5 & Sat 9-1

I plan on visiting them as early as this weekend to check out their work personally on Magnesium repairs - I had used them before for Alumn. wheels and they were PERFECT!!!
Hope this helps :m

I can attest to the fine work they do. They have done numurous Corvette wheels for me plus the ones off my BMW.

Chris, believe it or not, I used to live about 1 mile from them, right off Washington Blvd!

Thanks for the recommendations. Got a local quote similar and I would not have 2-way shipping, BUT, experience seeing their end result is worth alot. Don't think I want to mess around with my dymags!

:beer

Are you going to wait & see the end results before deciding then??
I can do a "Project Dymag" thread before -and- after ;)

No, I mean the two of you seeing finished product helps me. Chris, that would be awesome if it's soon though. You know my timetable and dont want to run short.

If time allows, I may try for this Sat - We will see ;)

The fact they were not the least bit scared to Repair Magnesium is amazing, as I had always read otherwise about the subject :eek

Someone had said they had dymags with air leaks, short of running tubes in the tires, Mag welding may be an option :upthumbs

I will keep you posted:m

Chris, you aren't going to send them the beast wheel are you? :D :L
