Dymag refinishing

Has anyone done this ? Whats the best procedure ?
I talked to a local shop and they recommend removing the old finish with chemicals rather than beed blasting.

Also does anyone know the correct silver color code ?

There is that post. I couldn't find it with the search. I can tell you that Mercedes Benz Brilliant Silver Metallic works real nice. It is very close to the original.
